Our brave little tortie with a heart full of sunshine!
Honey and her sister Noni were rescued on a stormy day near a busy highway, thanks to a kind trapper who refused to leave them in harm’s way. Both kittens suffered from trichiasis — a condition where eyelashes grow inward and rub against the eyes, causing painful irritation and damage.
Honey’s case was more severe than her sister’s. She required one eye to be removed and underwent cryoablation on the other — a procedure that freezes the problem lashes. Today, she sees only blurry shapes and shadows, but that doesn’t slow her down or dim her spirit.
This stunning tortoiseshell is endlessly sweet and affectionate. She confidently seeks out love, curls up for cuddles, and gets along beautifully with other cats. Our pet medical team keeps her remaining eye lubricated throughout the day to ensure she stays comfortable and healthy.
