Frisbee got his name from the VCA staff who rescued him: “Named Frisbee because of the way he was unceremoniously thrown into the VCA Hollywood lobby.” At just two months old, he needed safety – and our friends at VCA called us to help.
Initially, Frisbee was a healthy, playful kitten. But one morning, he became lethargic and feverish. Despite testing negative for infectious diseases, his condition worsened, and he began shaking and wobbling. A severe fever caused temporary neurological effects – resulting in hearing loss and residual encephalitis.
Today, Frisbee lives a happy, healthy life, though he still bobs his head and walks a bit unsteadily. Despite his challenges, he’s playful, affectionate, and loves snuggling with his feline friends. Because he’s deaf, our team gently alerts him when entering a room – a small ritual that keeps him calm and reassured.
