If your cat’s snoozin’ lifestyle makes you feel like the world’s most boring housemate, you’ll be happy to know this is not personal. Cats sleep a lot, naturally.

In the wild, feline species sleep long hours in order to recharge for their next hunting spree and although your domestic kitty’s lifestyle couldn’t be more different, the genetic programming is pretty much the same. Your furry friend instinctively conserves energy in case they have to chase down their next meal. Lucky for them, they’re handed everyday, gourmet meals in a timely fashion.

Stimulate your kitty’s inner panther by increasing the frequency of short periods of play. Have fun with it and choose toys that closely resemble natural prey, like a furry remote-control mouse or an interactive feather wand.
