Pet Care Specialist
Job Description

Open-environment kitty sanctuary seeks someone who is no stranger to HARD work. This is a very physically demanding job which includes feeding, intense cleaning, and of course litter scooping. This position will mostly be for felines, but there are also some exotics and one dog to be cared for as well. Must be a team player, willing to get hands dirty, no pet allergies, and able to lift 50 lbs. STELLAR attendance record is a MUST.

This position will require the ability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as you will be on a rotating schedule with the other Pet Care Specialists. Please include the word “boots” in your application so that we know you have read this description thoroughly. The ability to work under pressure and stay calm when priorities shift is absolutely essential.

Wellness Advocate (Tech)
Job Description

Open-environment kitty sanctuary seeks responsible, experienced vet tech to administer medications, vaccinations, fluids, take weights, trim nails, keep medical records, perform intake procedures, provide veterinary transport, and help with kennel work (scooping, feeding, cleaning) as necessary. This position will mostly be for felines, but there are also some exotics and two dogs to be cared for as well. Must be a team player, happy to help with kennel work and able to lift at least 50 lbs. Experience in a shelter environment is a plus, but an open mind to learn the difference from a clinical setting is key. Must be able to administer medications alone and trim nails without assistance.

This position will require the ability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as you will be on a rotating schedule with the other Wellness Advocates. Please include the word “boots” in your application so that we know you have read this description thoroughly. The ability to work under pressure and stay calm in an emergency is absolutely essential. Confidence in placing catheters or drawing blood would be awesome but is not mandatory.
